Telecoms by Sims and Company Limited is a fully accredited fibre infrastructure contractor — surveying, proving, cabling, splicing and testing the fibre networks the UK’s major operators depend on.
Five stages, one crew
Our work follows the sequence of the build itself. We can pick up any single stage, or take a route from survey through to a tested, live handover.
Survey
PON and spine route surveys, fully accredited, carried out to de-risk the build before a spade goes in the ground.
Prove
Test, rod and rope. We clear and prove the underground duct network so the route is fit to take cable.
Install
PON cable installation, micro subduct installation, fibre blowing, overblowing and bundle blowing.
Splice
Fibre splicing to operator specification, from joint boxes and chambers through to customer connections.
Test
End-to-end optical testing, results recorded and handed over so the network goes live performing to spec.
Fibre infrastructure, delivered end to end
We work at the sharp end of the fibre rollout: surveying routes, clearing and proving underground duct, pulling and blowing cable, and splicing and testing connections until the network performs to spec. It is skilled, physical, detail-critical work — and it is all we do.
Two directly employed staff and a team of around twelve experienced field engineers give us the flexibility of a small contractor with the delivery record of a much larger one.
